• 1 x hydro turbine & synchronous generator
• Gas fired reciprocating engines.
• The CMU at the Pilsworth North Landfill site near Bury will be made up of four reciprocating engines generating from natural gas. In their current state, these engines have been designed to generate from Anaerobic Digestion (AD) biogas, but will be converted to natural gas and then recommissioned, ahead of the delivery year. The four components of the CMU (referenced VIR097, VIR098, VIR099 and VIR100) are MWM 2020 V12 units (VIR 097 is a MWM 2020 V16), built in 2011 and rated at 1,200kW (VIR097 is rated at 1,560kW). Each engine generates at 415V, which is then stepped up to 6.6kV for export.
